Premature aging

Aging is the process of cell degeneration and/or acceleration of cell replication. This is a natural process and people have differing paces of aging. This has to do with our genes and also our lifestyle. Anti-aging is designed to ensure that the body degenerates slower. Unfortunately the aging process cannot be completely prevented.

Cell regeneration

Optimal cell regeneration is what counts. Most supplements that counteract the aging process ensure that the hormonal system stays in balance. In addition, you can increase cell protection. DHEA, for example, is the mother hormone of all hormones and optimizes the sex hormones. It also protects the adrenal glands and ensures bone and muscle building. Resveratrol protects DNA, therefore slowing down aging.

Balanced diet

A balanced diet is of great importance. Soy can be of benefit for older woman, due to the fyto-chemicals in this bean which mimic estrogen. For young women and men soy is not so good. With intermittent fasting, you alternate a period of fasting with a period in which you eat 'normally'. The energy intake is then limited as much as possible, although it does not mean that nothing should be eaten at all. Hydrating remains important. Water, herbal tea, ginger tea or chicory coffee - of course without milk or sugar - you can drink as healthy options. There are several ways in which you can do intermittent fasting. Most people maintain a 16-hour fast schedule and use their meals within 8 hours. The benefits of fasting are: weight loss, building protein and muscle tissue, lowering bad LDL cholesterol and blood pressure, anti-inflammatory effect on the body and cellular recovery. Fasting is good for brain health and has an anti-aging effect.

Collagen is responsible for the firmness and elasticity of your skin. It ensures that your skin looks young and fresh. You could say that collagen is a type of "glue" that holds together parts of the body, such as connective tissue and blood vessels. The name collagen is derived from the Greek word "kolla" which means glue. Your body produces collagen, but this production decreases after the age of 25. One of the visible signs of this is that your skin, for example, becomes less firm and supple. By taking hydrolysed collagen, your body gets a signal so that you also produce collagen in a natural way. You can easily mix powdered collagen into your smoothie. There are many ways to slow the aging process. You can be extensively advised on this topic during a consultation.
